hong kong is one of the two special administrative regions (sars) of the people's republic of china, along with macau. comprising more than 260 islands, the territory is located on the eastern side of the pearl river delta, bordering guangdong province in the north and facing the south china sea in the east, west and south.

hong kong has an active nightlife centred on two major entertainment districts, lan kwai fong (central) and wan chai. both areas are frequented by expatriates and locals alike. for a more quiet evening, a trip to victoria peak offers a spectacular view of the city. there is also a promenade along the tsim sha tsui waterfront, which is popular among young chinese couples. shopping, a form of entertainment for the people of hong kong, is even done at nighttime as evident in the temple street night market where one can also catch free performances of peking opera.

the city's cosmopolitan flavour can also be seen in the wide variety of cuisines available. while different varieties of chinese selections, especially seafood, are most popular, there are also many european, american, japanese, korean, and other restaurants. ethnic dishes served in cha chaan teng and dai pai dong are also popular. the people of hong kong take their food seriously and many top chefs make their way to the city to show off their talents to these discerning diners.

while hong kong is a global centre of trade, perhaps the city's most famous export is its entertainment industry, particularly in the martial arts genre. several top-notch hollywood performers originate from hong kong cinema -- bruce lee, chow yun-fat, jackie chan, michelle yeoh, jet li and leslie cheung, to name a few. behind the camera, hong kong filmmakers have also struck fortune in hollywood such as john woo, wong kar-wai, tsui hark and martial arts choreographers who have designed fight scenes in the matrix trilogy, kill bill and crouching tiger, hidden dragon. back in hong kong, several homegrown films have also gained international recognition such as chungking express, infernal affairs, shaolin soccer, rumble in the bronx and in the mood for love. acclaimed filmmaker quentin tarantino has said he's strongly influenced by hong kong action cinema.

the hong kong government also supports cultural institutions such as the hong kong heritage museum, hong kong museum of art, the hong kong academy for performing arts and the hong kong philharmonic orchestra. furthermore, the government's leisure and cultural services department also subsidizes and sponsors the bringing of international performers to hong kong.

稍微休息了片刻，我感觉好多了，我们又去喂鸽子，我刚开始非常害怕鸽子，都把鸽食扔的很远。可后来，我看见妈妈把鸽食放在手上给鸽子吃，于是，我也壮起胆子，把鸽食放在手上，但是鸽子刚要啄我手上的鸽食，我的手就一下子缩了回去。妈妈说：“不要害怕，它不会伤你的手的。”我又壮着胆子把我的手放在鸽子的面前，这一次非常成功，鸽子一啄我的.手，我就觉得很痒痒，但我强忍着，不赶走鸽子，直到鸽子把我手上的食物啄完后，我才敢动一下身子。后来，我的胆子越来越到了，真是舍不得离开它们。

这一天，我们玩的真是太开心了。

时间的涡轮，对中国有帮助的领导们在沾沾自喜，而生活在“霾”这个巨大盖子下的我们，却再也没有了从前的快乐。

这是在是太可怕了，可这是事实!人们必须面对它。我似乎希望这都是一场梦，我想高声对我的家乡——成都说:“还我们蓝天!空气!”而回音只是沉默与无奈的苦楚。

我在高速公路上坐着车，倚窗外望，只看见恶心的工厂高高的烟囱狰狞的邪笑着。排出一阵阵黑色毒气烟雾，闯入了我们的生活，这不是身为成都人应当反思的吗?

中国的迅速发展举世瞩目。当然，生活是把双刃剑，它切了“水果”，却伤了“手指”。

成都，让我愧见于人。上次我去旅游时，一位阿姨好奇地问我:“你在哪里读书呀?”“成都。”她沉默了一会儿:“就是那个污染很重的“尘”都?”我尴尬地笑了笑，却是沉痛的反思……

居庸关是万里长城的重要关口，有天下第一雄关之称，距北京约50公里，为保卫京师的屏障。与嘉峪关、山海关齐名，但因其地势险要，位列三关之首，为历代兵家必争之地。

居庸关以险著称，大有“一夫当关，万夫莫开”之势。春秋战国时代，燕国扼制此口，时称“居庸塞”。汉朝时，居庸关城已初具规模。南北朝时，关城与长城相连，此后唐、辽、金、元数朝，居庸都有关城之设。现存的居庸关城，始建于明洪武元年(1368年)，明朱元璋惧怕元顺帝卷土重来，拨巨款修筑，增强军事防御功能，为居庸关建起水陆两道关门，南北关门之处都有瓮城。关城外南北山险要之处，还筑有护城墩6座、烽燧18座等防御体系。清末以后逐渐荒废;1992年昌平县对关城建筑进行了全面修复，再现了昔日的雄姿。

居庸关还以景色秀丽著名，早在八百年前，“叠翠居庸抱云台”就被金代皇帝钦定为“燕京八景”之一。始建于1342年的“云台”，雕工艺术精湛流畅，造型别致，图案精美，是元代石雕艺术的珍品，也是元代建筑艺术的代表作。如今，掩映在杨柳红枫间的居庸新关，更有“花木长城”的美誉。

居庸关附近，还有“仙枕石”、“五郎庙”、“六郎寨”、“弹琴峡”、“望京石”、“天险”、“穆桂英点将台”、“詹天佑铜像”等景点，增添了这座雄关的风采。

四月去居庸关踏青，满山山桃花盛开;夏季去居庸关长城，伏果、歪瓜裂枣生津解渴;秋季登居庸关，枫叶红似焰火，柿子山杏满筐装。去居庸关不可不看云台(建于元朝，全由白色大理石建成)，是居庸关中最具价值的文物。居庸关长城形式多样，堪称一奇。其中以“人”字形长城为最，既有用碎石、山石搭建的'，也有城砖结构的女儿墙和垛口。云台券门和券洞里有用6种古文字--梵文、藏文、八思巴蒙文、维吾尔文、汉文、西夏文刻在一处的浮雕，这在我国还是首次发现。

有一天，我和妈妈在逛街，走着走着我感觉脚下好像有什么东西，一看，原来是一个小纸团，我把它捡起来丢到垃圾箱里去，可是谁知道有很多很多的小纸团，我一个又一个的捡起来丢到垃圾箱里去。我觉得这件事有点怪，就在旁边看了一下，果然看到了四个小男孩坐在石凳子上画画，我想一定是他们把画的不好看的画扔掉，我就在旁边站了一会儿，果然是他们扔的纸团。我走上去好好地跟他们说，可是他们却怎么也不肯听。

我想了想，想出了一个好办法：就是把他们的纸上画很多张，然后把他们一个又一个的捏成小纸团一起扔，叫他们一个人捡，而且要快，看他们累不累。我跟他们说完就开始了这个办法，果然他们累得筋疲力尽。我问他们还再不再扔纸团了？他们说：“不扔了，不扔了。”看来我的这个办法还是很有效果的'。接着，我们又走啊走，走到了一条马路上，我看见有一个人从车的窗子里扔了一样垃圾，我想这个人一定没有公德心。我想：弱国我做一张迎奥运、讲文明、树新风的卡，不就没人会扔垃圾了吗？我跟妈妈说：“我们快点回家，我要做东西。”

说着说着，我们很快就逛完了，回到了家，我拿起笔和纸，就开始做起来了，让我没想到的是我一下子就做了好多好多张文明卡。我想了想：一半拿到学校给同学，一半给大人们让他们去发。第二天，我和妈妈出去完，发现没有一个人在扔东西。实在是比昨天的地方还要好一百倍，我们到了少年宫，发现这里比那条路还要好一百倍。在回来的路上，我在想：就是有这么一小部分人在捣乱，所以以前几年奥运会都不在我国举行，看来保护花花草草不乱扔东西是要从小做起，从我做起。不管你是从什么时候做起，只要你能做到保护大自然的一切，不要学坏人样就可以了。小朋友，你是不是一个文明的孩子？如果是，就让我们用行动来表示吧!

我们在旅游时，经常可以发现有许多人为了自己的方便，他们会把吃完东西之后的垃圾等直接随手就地乱扔，这些垃圾会随风飘扬，会落到草地、河流、甚至会挂在树枝上，使大自然母亲遭受到严重的破坏，大大减少了大自然的美感，同时会大大加大环卫工人的劳动量，所以我建议大家出门时随身携带一个布袋，用于收集出行过程中的垃圾，便于集中处理，而且布袋属于环保产品，可循环使用也可以在大自然中充分降解，一举两得，何乐而不为呢?

旅游出行过程中，还有许多人为了良好的拍照效果，喜欢爬上树木或雕塑的上面拍照，虽然这样拍出的照片效果比较好，但是久而久之就会对树木以及雕塑造成破坏，而且会造成很大的安全隐患，我们会经常发现在一些热门的'取景点周围的树木、雕塑等已遭受严重的破损，我觉得可以通过一些拍照技术的提高或处理来达到拍摄的最佳效果，同时也降低了安全隐患又保护了环境，何乐而不为呢?

除此之外，还有许多人为了走捷径、减少走路的距离，会肆意的践踏草坪，甚至会带着小孩子一起踩踏，可能“保护草坪、人人有责、小草也有生命”的公益用语就在草坪上面竖立着，但是许多人就是视而不见，其实他们真的没有看见吗?他们可能仅仅为了自己的方便，而无视这些草坪的生命和公益用语，甚至在小孩子的心目中造成非常不良的示范作用，我建议大家应该保护好草坪，不能为了自己的个人方便而破坏公共的绿化，多走路还有利于身体健康，何乐而不为呢?
