鲁滨逊性格坚强、乐观。初到孤岛的他是绝望的，他说：“我整天悲痛着在这凄凉的环境中：没有食物、没有房屋、没有衣服、没有武器、没有出路、没有被救的希望、眼前只有死、不是被野兽所吞、就是被野人所嚼……”。但是，慢慢地他的坚强的个性体现了出来，他开始一心一意地安排自己的生活，不再一味地沉浸在自己设计的悲痛中。他建起了房子、做了桌子、小匣子；捕了小羊、小狗；种了小麦、稻子……就这样，他用自己的双手，创造了自己的小王国。读到这儿，我想：如果我孤身一人置身于荒岛上，叫天天不应，叫地地不灵时，我会像他那样不自暴自弃、重燃生的希望吗？不，我肯定的回答，面对突如其来的灾难，我不可能像他那样因时顺便，积极自救，因为我没有那种能力。
