从1951年6月中旬起,以阵地战为主,挫败了对方多次局部进攻,并粉碎了对方“绞杀战”、细菌战和侧后登陆计划。同时,也主动地举行了多次凌厉的攻势。

至1953年7月,经过金城战役的殊死较量,对方在遭受重创之后,不得不同朝中方面签署停战协定。至此,抗美援朝战争胜利结束。
